U.S.-D.R. Technology and Science FairThe U.S. Embassy in Santo Domingo is seeking proposals to organize a high-profile public event, the U.S. Tech and Science Innovation Fair, aimed at enhancing Dominican engagement with U.S.-linked opportunities in technology, innovation, entrepreneurship, and emerging industries such as semiconductors, AI, and cybersecurity. The fair is designed to connect diverse Dominican audiences—including university students, young professionals, entrepreneurs, private-sector representatives, academic stakeholders, and alumni of U.S. exchange programs—with U.S. companies, innovators, and educators through interactive experiences like corporate demonstrations, panel discussions, networking sessions, and mentorship opportunities. This initiative builds on previous Embassy programming, emphasizing hands-on engagement and direct interaction with U.S. experts as effective means to increase awareness of U.S. technology leadership and foster long-term collaboration. Proposals must demonstrate strong event management capabilities, experience in private-sector engagement, and coordination skills with multiple stakeholders. Success will be gauged by participant engagement, attendance, media visibility, and sustained connections fostering professional and educational exchanges. Applicants are required to submit a comprehensive application package that includes narrative proposals outlining objectives, activities, timelines, key personnel, partnerships, monitoring and evaluation plans, and detailed budgets with justification. Supporting documents such as resumes, letters of support, non-profit status proof, and registration must also be provided. The award will be a fixed amount contract, and applicants must adhere to set guidelines regarding budget formats, audit requirements, and visa fee inclusions. The solicitation is managed under the U.S. Mission to the Dominican Republic with a response deadline one month after posting in June 2026.
