The Commissioning and Engineering Services (AWT) division of Global Affairs Canada (GAC), legally referred to as the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade, and Development (DFATD), requires Technical and Engineering Support Services to supplement its staff for better meeting its mandate as Technical Authority and engineering support for the Project Delivery, Professional and Technical Services Bureau (AWD).
In support of Treasury Board (TB) policy, DFATD provides real property services in the areas of portfolio management, accommodation planning and project delivery for its real estate portfolio located at various missions around the world. It is the responsibility of the Delivery, Professional and Technical Services Bureau (AWD) to construct and maintain these international assets. The Engineering and Commissioning Services section of AWD conducts/manages engineering reviews for construction and maintenance projects and the commissioning (Cx) processes, undertaken by the Department.
Along with other services, and in accordance with the Treasury Board (TB) policy, DFATD requires Technical and engineering Support Services in the Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) engineering disciplines to advance several projects, on an “as and when needed” basis, to help the Engineering and Commissioning section to fulfill its mandate.
The extent of TESS service requirements will vary in accordance with the needs of DFATD as the various AWD projects are planned, developed, approved and delivered. It is anticipated that there may be times where an increased and/or decreased level of effort is required as a result of new or changing DFATD priorities.
