Full Description

The Department of Energy, Procurement Services Division, Acquisitions Office, extended a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) to Kimball International. The extension extends the BPA by three months to January 24, 2015. An approved Limited Source Justification sets forth the justification and approval for award of a Federal Supply Schedule order on a Limited-Source basis as required by FAR 8.405-6(a)(2)(i). The original BPA was placed in accordance with the applicable Federal Supply Schedule ordering procedures and was not previously issued under sole-source or limited sources procedures. All Schedule awardees were given a fair opportunity to be considered for the original BPA. This justification is in the support of a continuation of the FSS BPA, to Kimball International. This requirement is to ensure that there is not a break in service which will impact DOE's mission. Kimball is the only source available to provide office furniture to the DOE headquarters and field sites acro ss the United States. This special notice is not a solicitation for firms to submit proposals. The above is the summary of the Limited Sources Justification.
