The Social Security Administration through its Lease Management Office is conducting market research via a Request for Information to inform the future development of a Blanket Purchase Agreement for nationwide office relocation and reconfiguration services. This RFI is purely for planning and acquisition strategy purposes and does not constitute a solicitation or call for proposals; no payments will be made for responses, and submitted proposals will not be evaluated or considered for award. The agency seeks to understand industry practices for large-scale intra-building relocations involving between 1,000 and 3,000 pieces of furniture and equipment, including pre-move planning, physical relocation, disposal of surplus items, furniture reassembly, and secure handling of Controlled Unclassified Information and Personally Identifiable Information with agency escort. The requirement falls under GSA category 541614OR and targets recurring needs across federal facilities nationwide. Vendors are asked to provide detailed information on invoicing structures, including standard line items, non-fixed-price components, and potential ancillary charges not included in proposals. They are also requested to describe the preparatory data needed to generate accurate estimates, the impact of move scenario detail on proposal accuracy, and recommendations for structuring mock move scenarios to enable fair, “apples to apples” comparisons. A sample proposal or cost estimate for a comparable move is required, along with suggestions for improving solicitation clarity and evaluation efficiency. All proprietary information must be clearly marked and will be maintained confidentially. Responses are due by July 16, 2026, and while submissions will be used solely for market research, they may directly influence the format and requirements of a future formal solicitation. No debriefs will be provided, and no reimbursement will be offered for response preparation costs.
