Scope: The Old Sacramento Historic District is located along the eastern waterfront of the Sacramento River in downtown Sacramento and contains a collection of preserved and reconstructed 19th-century buildings that house retail, restaurants, museums, businesses, and residences. A defining feature of the district is the system of raised wooden boardwalks that provide pedestrian circulation along covered sidewalks and contribute significantly to the historic character and visitor experience of Old Sacramento. The project will replace deteriorated wooden boardwalk decking throughout portions of the district. The work area generally includes the wooden sidewalks. The selected Design-Build contractor (“Contractor”) shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, management, and professional services necessary to complete the project, including preconstruction (design-assist) and construction phase services. The Contractor shall serve as the single point of responsibility and shall furnish and manage an appropriately qualified design team, which may include, but is not limited to, an architect, structural engineer, and any additional consultants required to successfully deliver the project.
