The New Morgan Borough Utilities Authority is soliciting sealed bids online via the PennBid program for Contract 26-1, New Morgan Water Tank Replacement. The grant monies must be utilized by August 15, 2026, as the grant will expire on September 30, 2026. The contract duration will exceed beyond the grant expiration to 270 days from the Notice to Proceed.
The project proposes replacing the existing bolted steel tank with a welded steel tank 56’ – 0” in diameter and 32’ – 0” in height (589,624 gallons) located adjacent to the existing tank. The work involved with installation of the water storage tank includes, but is not limited to, restoring the site access road, demolition of the existing tank and concrete foundation pad, installation of a new foundation pad, erection of the new welded steel tank, installing new connection piping to the existing water system, and installing electrical and control wiring for level sensing, alarm floats, and a tank mixer.
