OPEN GRID DECK 22X60 D3 BRIDGE

The South Carolina Department of Transportation is soliciting sealed bids for the furnishing and delivery of Open Grid Steel Bridge Decking for three complete bridges, each measuring 22ft x 60ft, totaling 3,960 square feet. The materials must be provided by an AISC certified fabricator and delivered F.O.B. Destination to the SCDOT District 3 Bridge Maintenance facility in Simpsonville, South Carolina. All panels must be galvanized according to ASTM A123/A123M and designed per the latest AASHTO LRDF standards to support HS 25 and EV3 loads with a maximum deflection of L/800. Technical requirements include a maximum deck thickness of 6.5 inches and a maximum weight of 30 PSF, excluding trim bars and finish. The contract will be awarded to the single lowest responsible and responsive bidder. Key deliverables include the submission of shop drawings for review within 20 days of the award and a Professional Engineer stamped certification verifying that the decking meets all load and deflection specifications. All items must be delivered no later than April 31, 2027, or within 30 days following the receipt of the purchase order and approval of shop drawings. The initial contract term is four months.
