The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Center for Retirement and Insurance Services (CRIS) administers the health and life insurance benefits for Federal annuitants/survivors under the Civil Service Retirement and the Federal Employees Retirement systems. CRIS is committed to providing quality service and customer care to the largest group of participants in the Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB) program. Using a data base of approximately 2 million individuals, along with data on approximately 261 health options, the majority of which are state specific, the Contractor will process a variety of requests made by annuitants including address changes, requests for cancellation of coverage, requests for suspension of coverage, requests for re-enrollment from suspension of coverage, requests for other information related to the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program (FEHBP), including the plan accreditation and survey booklets, request for information related to the Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program (FEDVIP), requests for one or more brochures of the available health plans, or requests to change health benefits enrollment coverage using one of the approximate 261 health options available, each containing two to four enrollment categories that the annuitant can choose from.
