Opposing Counsel Depositions

The Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia will engage multiple court reporter companies to obtain accurate transcripts and copies of depositions, testimony, and related materials from plaintiffs, eyewitnesses, and other clients for use in litigation and settlement proceedings. Each requisition request will include a detailed fee schedule outlining the varying charges imposed by the court reporting firms, ensuring transparency in billing for services rendered. Staff Assistants are responsible for identifying the specific court reporter associated with each deposition and including their name directly on the requisition form, ensuring proper attribution and accountability. Attorneys will select the court reporter to be used for each request, with the Staff Assistant acting as the liaison to coordinate the procurement process and ensure timely delivery of required documents for legal use.
