Opticool System System Installation and Insurance

Southern University and A&M College, through its Department of Computer Science, has issued a Request for Bid for the procurement and installation of one OptiCool 7 Tesla Conical Split-Coil Superconducting Magnet System. The comprehensive scope of work includes the delivery of the magnet system, a Haskris R300-A refrigerated air-cooled chiller, control electronics, multiVu control software, and various specialized accessories such as optical fiber feedthroughs and thermal sample stages. Beyond hardware procurement, the selected vendor is responsible for system installation, start-up, and user training. The contract includes a one-year full warranty covering both parts and labor, which commences following successful delivery and installation. Bids must be submitted by 2:00 PM on October 9, 2026, and may be delivered physically or electronically. Evaluation is based on compliance with technical specifications, where bidders must clearly state brand and model numbers or provide extensive technical data if proposing equivalent products.
