The United States Coast Guard, through the Aviation Logistics Center, has awarded an Indefinite Delivery Requirements contract for the overhaul of gearboxes supporting MH-60T aircraft. This contract, spanning from 2022 to 2025, utilizes Firm Fixed Price delivery orders to cover the overhaul and test evaluation of various components, including Main Major and Minor, Input Module, Intermediate, Tail Rotor, and Accessory gearboxes. The contractor is responsible for providing all necessary labor, tooling, and materials to return these components to Ready for Issue condition, with specific protocols in place for handling items deemed Beyond Economical Repair or No Fault Found. Due to proprietary data and specialized tooling, the contract was justified as a sole-source award to Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, the original equipment manufacturer. Eligibility for the work requires OEM status and NAVSUP WSS approval. The contract structure includes a base period followed by two option periods, with evaluation criteria focusing on technical acceptability, price, and past performance. Additionally, the agreement mandates strict adherence to non-disclosure requirements regarding protected critical infrastructure and sensitive security information.

Solicitation # 70Z03826RB0000006
Solicitation 70Z03826RB0000006 is a Request for Quotation issued by the United States Coast Guard Aviation Logistics Center for the procurement of new spare parts for pilot, co-pilot, and mechanic aircraft seats on the MH-65E Aircraft. This is a sole-source acquisition under FAR 12.102(b) intended for BAE Systems Land & Armaments, L.P., as they are the original equipment manufacturer and the only authorized distributor in North America. The resulting contract will be a firm-fixed-price, indefinite delivery requirements type with a one-year base period and up to four one-year option periods, not to exceed a total duration of five years. Due to critical safety-of-flight requirements, the government mandates that all parts be new and approved in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines and Federal Aviation Regulation Part 21. No substitute parts or deviations from OEM specifications are permitted. Contractors must provide a Certificate of Conformance per FAR 52.246-15 and maintain a documented, auditable paper trail of traceability to the OEM with no more than two exchanges prior to delivery. Packaging must be suitable for land, air, or sea transport, specifically excluding materials such as Styrofoam and peanut packaging, and must ensure preservation for one year of warehouse storage. Solicitation 70Z03827QL0000005 is a request for quotations for deposit-level paint services to support HC-144 aircraft and other USCG airframes. The Department of Homeland Security, through the Aviation Logistics Center, seeks an FAA certified 145 center with onsite de-paint and paint facilities to perform scuffing, sanding, de-painting, and external painting. The resulting award will be a Firm Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery requirements contract consisting of a one-year base period and four one-year option periods, with a total duration not to exceed five years. The place of performance and inspection/acceptance will occur at the contractor's site, with USCG personnel conducting final visual inspections based on specific quality standards for gloss, thickness, and surface inclusions.
