Palm Desert Operations Parking Lot Rehabilitation - Phase 3

The Palm Desert Operations Parking Lot Rehabilitation Phase 3 Project is a construction initiative managed by the Coachella Valley Water District to restore the pavement at its Operations vehicle maintenance facility. Located at 75-519 Hovley Lane East in Palm Desert, California, the scope of work involves the removal of existing deteriorated concrete asphalt and aggregate base materials up to approximately 12.5 inches. This will be replaced with a new 4.5-inch concrete asphalt layer laid over an 8-inch class II aggregate base. The project encompasses a full range of rehabilitation services, including repairs, maintenance, sealing, replacements, and necessary alterations to ensure the long-term restoration of the parking lot. Construction is scheduled to commence around November 2025 and is expected to last approximately three months. All work will be performed on CVWD property within a rural residential area that is not part of the Coachella Valley Multiple Species Habitat Conservation Plan conservation area. Environmental assessments have resulted in a Notice of Exemption under the California Environmental Quality Act, indicating that the project will have no significant environmental impact. Project administration is overseen by Amer Hassouneh, Engineer I, with Carlos Huerta serving as the Environmental Resources Analyst.
