The Maryland Department of Health (MDH) is seeking a professional, reliable Lifeguard to provide part-time services (approximately 12-14 hours/week) on-site at the Potomac Center facility's indoor pool in Hagerstown, Maryland. The job duties of this position will include lifeguard services overseeing the use of the pool by the intellectually disabled residents of the Potomac Center, providing CPR/First Aid as required, performing safety checks, cleaning of the pool, pool decks, and bathrooms, and monitoring/adjusting pool chemicals as needed to ensure water quality/safety. The Lifeguard must also be a Certified Pool Operator (CPO). Schedule is as follows:a. Every Tuesday from 8:00am to 11:00am, and 1:00pm to 5:00pm,b. Every Thursday from 1:00pm to 5:00pm,c. Every other Thursday from 10:00am to 12:00pm, and 1:00pm to 5:00pm.Twelve (12) hours per week and fourteen (14) hours every other week x contract term of 52 weeks = 676 total working hours.
