PCS25020 - Buffalo Pound Provincial Park Watermain Replacement Project Scope: The Work consists of the supply and installation of approximately 7.5 km of 200 mm diameter DR11 HDPE potable water main by Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) to replace the existing asbestos cement (AC) water main. The Work includes all associated appurtenances, including isolation valves, air release and combination air valve (CAV) chambers, pressure reducing valve (PRV) chambers, drains, fittings, joint restraints, and water service connections. The Work also includes all required site preparation activities, including clearing, grubbing, stripping, and stockpiling of materials; drilling, excavation, shoring, backfilling, and restoration; control of surface water and groundwater, including dewatering and disposal of water encountered during excavation, HDD installation, and testing; utility locating and daylighting as required; and connection to the existing water distribution system at the Buffalo Pound Water Treatment Plant, including coordination of planned shutdowns and completion of all tie-in connections. In addition, the Work includes hydrostatic pressure and leakage testing, disinfection, flushing, commissioning of the new water main, and testing of all materials incorporated into the Work. The Contractor shall also complete all site cleanup and restoration upon completion of construction and correct any deficiencies identified during the warranty period. All work is to completed by March 24, 2027.
