Full Description

The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to negotiate solely with Data Processing Techniques, Inc., 943 Northfield Rd.; Woodmere, NY 11598, for PDS Monitor Software Maintenance. This software is proprietary and as such Data Processing Techniques has an exclusive right and does not authorize resellers or other entities to maintain the PDS Monitor Software. The product is used by the Office of Telecommunications and Systems Operations (OTSO) and it is located in the National Computer Center (NCC) and the Durham Support Center (DSC). This PDS Monitor Software is used to produce the "Monthly Vendor Software Usage Report". Maintenance is in the form of a subscription, which provides updates and improvements as they are issued and 24/7/365 telephone support. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government, not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. If SSA does not identify any other acceptable sources capable of providing this requirement, SSA may issue a sole source award to Data Processing Techniques, Inc. under the authority of FAR Part 13.106(b)(1). The government will not pay for any information submitted and responses to this notice must be submitted in writing via email to contact@example.gov no later than March 25, 2010 at 5:00 pm EST.
