The EIR Addendum includes minor modifications to the Samoa Peninsula Wastewater Project. The modifications include replacing existing septic tanks and leachfields with septic tank effluent pump systems that pump treated effluent to the Samoa WWTF, abandon existing leachfields, demolish old tanks, and add a 1,590 foot pressure pipeline segment along Bay Street. At the WWTF, the approved treatment system would be changed to a moving bed biofilm reactor, solids dewatering would be eliminated, and new headworks would be installed, all within the existing facility footprint.

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources is soliciting bids for weekend and state holiday operations of water and wastewater treatment plants at Punderson, Pymatuning, West Branch, and Wingfoot State Parks. The scope of work requires daily visits to each facility, estimated at 30 minutes per park, to perform chlorine checks, record visits in logbooks, and conduct visual inspections to ensure power is functioning and no leaks or overflows are present.
