AI Contract Overview
NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center is seeking input from interested parties for the Planetary Plasma Interactions Discipline Node as part of the Planetary Data System (PDS). This notice is not a solicitation for proposals but serves to gather information and assess industry capabilities, especially for small businesses and minority-serving institutions. The PDS Discipline Nodes are responsible for the long-term preservation, usability, and stewardship of NASA planetary science data, ensuring compliance with federal cybersecurity requirements and supporting standards development to enhance data access and interoperability. The agency requests capability statements from potential prime contractors, subcontractors, or teaming partners, including small business categories such as Small Disadvantaged Businesses, HUBZone, Veteran-owned, and Women-owned small businesses. Respondents are also asked to provide feedback on realistic small business subcontracting goals, identify potential barriers to small business participation, and suggest strategies to enhance their involvement, such as breaking down requirements or encouraging mentor-protégé partnerships. Responses must be submitted by June 12, 2026, and NASA may use the feedback to shape the forthcoming solicitation. The government emphasizes that this is a market research effort only and does not guarantee a contract award or compensation for submitted information.
