The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, specifically the Special Operations and ISR Directorate, has established a Commercial Solutions Opening to solicit innovative solutions for future requirements. This initiative is managed by the Special Operations and Personnel Recovery Division and the Capabilities Development Office at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Rather than a single request for proposals, the government will announce specific needs through individual Problem Statement Calls, each containing its own submission instructions and requirements. Awards resulting from this process may be granted under Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 12 or through Other Transaction authority. The CSO is open for a twelve month period ending September 3, 2027, with the possibility of annual renewal. Currently, the government is not accepting unsolicited proposals and no funding has been obligated under this specific notice.

The Solar System Exploration Research Virtual Institute Cooperative Agreement Notice-5 (SSERVI CAN-5), solicitation NNH26ZDA016C, is issued by NASA's Science Mission Directorate to fund multi-institutional, team-based research supporting the Artemis program and future lunar and Mars exploration. The program focuses on lunar studies, Mars-forward research, and integrated multidisciplinary investigations, including theoretical, numerical, and experimental studies. Funding is anticipated at 9 million dollars for the first year, with up to five awards expected. Individual awards may reach 1.8 million dollars per year for five years, with up to 180,000 dollars per year specifically allocated for workforce development, citizen science, or space apps plans. The application process is a two-step submission via the NSPIRES portal. Step-1 proposals are preliminary and must be anonymous, requiring basic investigator and project information. Step-2 full proposals must be submitted by December 4, 2026, and are divided into an anonymous Volume A and a non-anonymous Volume B, along with a separate budget file and optional high-end computing requests.
