Platform One Solutions Marketplace (P1SM)/Commercial Solutions Opening (CSO)

The Platform One Solutions Marketplace (P1SM) is a long-term open call managed by Platform One and The Applied Research Institute (ARI) to accelerate the delivery of high-quality, secure, and resilient software for the Department of Defense. This initiative seeks innovative hardware, software, and service solutions to close capability gaps and enhance agility against emerging threats. Strategic focus areas include application development, cloud operations, container hardening, cybersecurity, DevSecOps engineering, edge computing, identity management, and digital acquisition modernization. The marketplace is open for submissions from September 23, 2024, through December 29, 2027, allowing US and foreign entities, academia, and individuals to showcase technologies through rapid acquisition pathways. Interested parties must submit a maximum five-minute .mp4 video pitch and a completed automated submission form via the official portal. Submissions are collected monthly, with a deadline of 12:00 PM EST on the final day of each month, and results are typically distributed within 30 days. All submissions must be unclassified and free of proprietary or export-controlled information. Solutions are evaluated by a peer panel of subject matter experts based on weighted criteria, including scientific feasibility, DoD operational impact, and differentiation. Solutions deemed awardable are considered post-competition under specific federal authorities, such as 10 USC 4021 and FAR/DFARS Part 35, enabling streamlined contracting for research, prototyping, and production without further competition.
