Full Description

As detailed in the attached sole source justification (Attachment 1), DLA Distribution Susquehanna, Pennsylvania (DDSP) has an urgent requirement for a contractor to reprogram four Government owned PLC controllers with logic currently on the SoftLogix platform. DDSP uses Allen Bradley Softlogix PLCs to control the majority of the tote and pallet conveyance systems. The work performed by the contractor will consist of conveyance PLC conversion from PLCs 3, 4, 8, and 10. The contractor shall convert and modify the existing conveyor ladder logic programs so that they operate in the DDSP supplied PLC 5/40 controllers with the same functionality. GES Automation Technology, Inc. is the only authorized service representative in close proximity to DDSP for the Rockwell/Allen-Bradley SoftLogix programmable logic controllers PLC's. In accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) the acquisition is being restricted to only one source: GES Automation Technology, Inc. located at 2020 Greenwood St, Harrisburg PA 17104. GES Automation Technology, Inc. is the only source capable of completing this task in the required time frame due to the fact that they only authorized source in the immediate area with knowledge of the DDSP system. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 541513 with a small business size standard of $27,500,000.00.
