Port Edward Float 837 & 816 Repairs - British Columbia (BC)
In general, work consists of repairs to the existing steel pipe breakwater float at Port Edward Small Craft Harbour. Float repairs may include, but is not limited to, the installation of foam buoyancy floatation inside the existing steel pipe breakwater, and the supply and installation of steel breakwater pipe connections. Scope of work items include the following:
Mandatory Items:
1. Mobilization/demobilization
2. Install Float Buoyancy Billets
3. Supply and Install Bolted Pipe Connections
Optional Items:
4. Install Injection Foam Floatation
5. Supply of Foam Buoyancy Billets
6. Upgrade Buoyancy Billets to Plastic Encapsulated
Optional items are included in the evaluation of bids but may or may not be executed at the discretion of the Owner.
Familiarization with site
Before submitting a bid, bidders can visit the site and its surroundings, at their own expense, to review and verify the form, nature, and extent of the work, materials needed for the completion of the work, the means of access to the site, severity, exposure, and uncertainty of weather, soil conditions, any accommodations they may require, and in general shall obtain all necessary information as to risks, contingencies, and other circumstances which may influence or affect their bid. No allowance shall be made subsequently in this connection on account or error or negligence to properly observe and determine the conditions that will apply.
The Contractor must perform and complete the Work by February 28, 2024.
