The following synopsis is for commercial services and consists of the synopsis only. Ellsworth Air Force Base South Dakota has a requirement for a Postal Contractor. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, fuel, transportation, supervision, and other items and services necessary to operate the Postal Service Center (PSC). The contractor shall use Air Force and other government agencies directives as directed. Mail will be distributed to personnel housed in approximately five separate dormitories. General delivery service will also be required for transients, persons who are on Temporary Duty (TDY), and newly assigned personnel until a permanent resident address is established. The government shall furnish the contractor approximately 2,400 square feet of space to operate the PSC. The government will furnish water, electricity, natural gas, and sewage. The Contract Manager and alternate(s) and all employees must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. A written solicitation (FA4690-08-R-0007) will be made available on this web site on or about 22 July 2008. This procurement is a 100% set aside for a Service Disabled Veteran Owned business. The forthcoming solicitation will incorporate provisions and clauses in affect through the Federal Acquisition Regulation. This will be a Price/Past-performance Tradeoff procurement using Source Selection Procedures. The NAICS code for this project is 491110 with a size standard of $6.5 Million dollars. The classification code is "R". The period of performance is 1 October 2008 through 30 September 2009 with an additional four option years.
