Solicitation # 1240LT27Q0026
Solicitation 1240LT27Q0026 is a total small business set-aside for the replacement of the Pacific Crest Trail bridge over the West Fork West Walker River in the Hoover Wilderness, managed by the USDA Forest Service. The project requires the full removal and off-site disposal of an existing steel and timber bridge and the design, fabrication, and installation of a new 6-foot by 35-foot glulam deck panel bridge with timber railing. The scope also includes reconstructing existing approaches and installing 30 linear feet of approach railing. The period of performance is scheduled for 120 days from July 1, 2027, to October 29, 2027. Award will be granted to the responsible quoter who provides the lowest evaluated price among those deemed technically acceptable based on their technical approach and past performance. Key deadlines include a quote submission date of November 28, 2026, and an anticipated award date of December 10, 2026. Contractors must comply with the Davis-Bacon Act for prevailing wages and provide required performance and payment bonds. Technical requirements specify adherence to ANSI 117 for glulam members, AWS D1.1 for welding, and the submission of shop drawings for COR approval prior to fabrication.
