The United States Department of the Naval Medical Research Command (NMRC) intends to award a sole source contract to, Leica Microsystems Inc., Deerfield, IL 60015. This requirement is for authorized approved vendors to perform services for brand name equipment. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals however If interested Government shall consider all responses.


The requirement is for a service contract from the OEM, Leica Microsystems Inc. This contract must have a base year and 4 optional years so that it spans a 5-yr period. The Premium Care Service Plan package choice as quoted from the company includes: Unlimited service visits by a Leica-Microsystems trained and qualified field service engineer, unlimited Replacement service parts, components, or modules necessary for repairs, excluding consumables, and any 3rd Party parts. In addition, there will be an annual on-site Planned Maintenance visit, to ensure the system is performing to factory specifications, unlimited access to expert Applications and Technology Support Center (M-F 8am-5P), Biosafety Level 2 included Software Updates and a 10% discount on non-contract related services
