Laundry Room Sink Installation
Solicitation # 21807-27-5524015
The Correctional Service of Canada requires a qualified contractor to install and commission sixteen laundry room sink stations at the Kent Institution in Agassiz, British Columbia. The primary objective of this project is to provide secure, durable sinks within the Courtyard Living Units to improve institutional security and staff efficiency by reducing inmate movement between housing areas and centralized dishwashing locations. The contractor is responsible for supplying the stations, completing plumbing connections to existing water and sanitary systems, providing test and commissioning documentation, and submitting as-built drawings and warranty data. The work must be completed within fifteen weeks from the date of notification of acceptance. This procurement follows a two-phase invitation process. In Phase One, bidders are evaluated based on mandatory requirements and experience, including the submission of two separate reference projects. Only responsive bidders from Phase One will be invited to submit a price bid in Phase Two, where the contract will be awarded to the lowest-priced compliant bidder. The solicitation is open to Canadian suppliers and is conditionally set-aside under the Procurement Strategy for Indigenous Business; if two or more responsive bids are received from Indigenous businesses, the competition will be limited to those suppliers. The contract is governed by standard construction clauses regarding administration, execution, insurance, and dispute resolution, and requires compliance with reciprocal procurement policies and health and safety standards, including tuberculosis testing.
