AI Contract Overview
The Georgia Department of Public Safety (DPS) has issued a solicitation to establish an open agency contract for the procurement of Pro-gard vehicle mounting solutions, cargo storage systems, and partitions. This contract is for an initial period of one year, with four additional one-year optional renewals. The procurement is strictly a sole-brand bid, permitting only Pro-gard products with no substitutions allowed. The contract covers product acquisition only, explicitly excluding installation services. Estimated quantities are provided for annual purchases but do not guarantee minimum purchase amounts or monetary values. All pricing submissions must be all-inclusive, covering delivery, shipping, surcharges, and insurance fees, with no additional charges permitted. The DPS Fleet is located in Atlanta, Georgia, and suppliers must be registered with both the Georgia Department of Revenue and the Georgia Secretary of State to be considered responsible and eligible for award. The contract emphasizes compliance with safety and operational standards, supported by a sole-brand justification highlighting Pro-gard’s crash-tested designs and adherence to FMVSS and SAE standards, ensuring consistency and reliability for law enforcement use. Bidders must comply with mandatory requirements related to warranty and shipping, and liability insurance meeting specified minimum coverage limits is required, although bonds are not. The bidding process involves submission via the Georgia electronic procurement system with strict adherence to instructions and deadlines. Contract provisions include terms and conditions applicable to goods procurement, reporting requirements, and non-exclusive rights for the state entity. Additionally, suppliers have the opportunity to upload early payment discount offers separately. The overall procurement aims to maintain a uniform product standard across the DPS fleet to enhance safety, training efficiency, and operational performance.
