This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using the simplified acquisition procedures under FAR Part 13 to procure the replacement and installation of a McQuay Chiller Compressor, model numberWMC145DS in support of Facilities maintenance for, located at Parris Island, South Carolina. The Government intends to award a sole source contract for the above supply to McQuay International at 1212 Broughton Blvd, Florence, South Carolina. The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit only one source. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. The Contractor is the sole provider and owner of the McQuay Chiller Compressor which requires factory authorized technicians to install. This notice is for information purposes only and is not a request for quotation. No solicitation document is available and telephone, fax, or e-mail requests will not be honored. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
