PRODUCTION LOT TESTING

The contractor is required to deliver two units of item 1615 / 13027212 within 120 calendar days from contract award for first article testing at the Fleet Readiness Center East in Cherry Point, North Carolina. Government testing must be completed within 150 days of receipt, during which the contractor will receive written notification of conditional approval, approval, or disapproval. These first article units are not counted toward the production quantity and will be retained by the Government, either destroyed during testing or preserved as a manufacturing standard. Production lot testing is mandatory following first article approval, and the contractor must include costs for samples consumed during testing in their pricing. The contractor must provide at least 14 days’ written notice before presenting the production lot to the Quality Assurance Representative for sample selection, which will be done randomly from the lot unless otherwise specified in the technical data package. PLT samples must be shipped via traceable means to the same Cherry Point address, clearly marked and accompanied by all required documentation including signed DD Forms 1222 and 250, test reports, certifications, drawings, and a prepaid return label. The Government retains ownership of all test samples and will use a 30-day testing period plus an additional 30-day review window. The contract includes an NSN of 0001S00000061 with a single unit requirement and a 350-day delivery timeline. Fast Pay is not applicable, and supplier certification or accreditation details must be submitted as part of the response.
