The CDC's intent is to sole source the following requirement to the Oxford University Press. The North American Industry Classification System code is 511130, 500 people. The purpose of this procurement is to: Coordinate with the JID editorial staff to arrange for publishing of the RSV Supplement, Conduct all tasks related to publication production, including layout, graphics, copy editing, resulting in a final version of the supplement suitable for publication, Mail hard copy of JID supplement to all subscribers with the regularly scheduled printed edition of JID and Publish the JID supplement online as free-to-view. This product resulting from this procurement is intended to reach a broad readership with specific interest in laboratory and epidemiologic characterization of clinically relevant pathogens such as RSV. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contract Specialist on or before 8:00 am EST on August 20, 2012. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. All questions must be in writing and must be emailed to Candice L. Simmons at iie3@cdc.gov. Please reference CDC-50858 on all correspondence. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the CDC will proceed to sole source this requirement to the Oxford University Press.
