Professional Services of a Design Approval Representative (DAR)

This request for proposal is open only to pre-qualified suppliers under the Task-Based and Professional Services (TSPS) supply arrangement, under stream 5. Technical, engineering and maintenance services stream, category 5.3 Engineering graduate. 1. Requirement Summary: TC ASD’s Engineering branch is seeking an experienced delegated senior aerospace Avionics/Electrical Design Approval Representative (DAR) resource to deliver the Work in the Statement of Work at Annex A and to support integration and certification of new Avionics, Electrical, and Mission systems on its aircraft fleet. 2. Period of the Contract 2.1 Period of the Contract The period of the Contract is from one (1) year from date of Contract award. 2.2 Option to Extend the Contract The Contractor grants to Canada the irrevocable option to extend the term of the Contract by up to two (2) additional one year (12 months) period(s) under the same conditions. The Contractor agrees that, during the extended period of the Contract, it will be paid in accordance with the applicable provisions as set out in the Basis of Payment. Canada may exercise this option at any time by sending a written notice to the Contractor before the expiry date of the Contract. The option may only be exercised by the Contracting Authority, and will be evidenced for administrative purposes only, through a contract amendment. 3.
