Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Division (NSWC IHD), Indian Head, Maryland, awarded a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract for proximity fuzes on a sole source basis to L3Harris Fuzing and Ordnance Systems, Inc., Cincinnati, OH 45245-2395 in the amount of $48,513,271, with Option Contract Line Items (CLINs) for an additional $49,874,880 which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $98,388,151. 


This contract was not competitively procured in accordance with 10 USC §4022 and DFARS 206.001-70 (exception for protype projects for follow-on production contracts). Contract award is a follow-on production requirement for prototypes developed and successfully completed under an Other Transaction Agreement (OTA).
