The Government plans to award a sole source contract to Raytheon Company for Pull, Test, and Ship services specifically supporting the CCSS Depot and Defense Red Switch Network Holding. This contract is justified under 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) because the required services are only available from Raytheon, and alternative suppliers or services would not meet the agency’s needs. The award will be under a Cost Plus Fixed Fee contract structure. The solicitation, identified as FA8218-13-M-72016, was posted on January 24, 2014, and the place of performance is Hill Air Force Base in Utah. While this is a sole source procurement, Raytheon and any other responsible sources are invited to submit capability statements or proposals for consideration. Contract negotiators and officers are designated for communication, ensuring transparency and oversight during this process. The NAICS code applicable to this contract is 811213, indicating specialized maintenance services.
