Pumphouse Relocation – Cape Race, NL (F6879-244009) The scope of work consists of the furnishing of all plant, labour, equipment and material for pumphouse relocation at Cape Race, NL, in strict accordance with the specifications and accompanying drawings, and subject to all terms and conditions of the Contract. The work (particularly related to the demolition of the existing pumphouse), is located on the side of a steep cliff, and the demolition site is to be made safe using hard barricades prior to initiating any demolition work. Where required to meet occupational health and safety regulations, ensure fall arrest provisions are in place for any workers in/around the demolition and new site. Work will consist of, but will not necessarily be limited to: 1. Demolition and removal of the existing pumphouse. Salvage existing pumps, etc., as noted on the drawings for re-installation in the new pumphouse. Footprint of old pumphouse to be infilled with rock/gravel fill and topped with granulars after infrastructure has been removed. 2. Construction of a new pumphouse structure and wet well, as indicated on the drawings. Contractor responsible for locating all existing underground lines, confirming the size/type of required new underground lines and making all required connections for a complete installation. Be prepared to remove overburden and potentially rock (by way of busting), if required. 3. Supply and installation of all electrical works, as noted on the drawings, for a complete installation.
