Upon assuming ownership of the utility, the City successfully embarked on an unparalleled multi phased water and wastewater expansion program that was funded using a property special assessment methodology. The low-pressure sewer system was best served to the Port St. Lucie's residents in lieu of a gravity system. The low-pressure STEP Basin system assessment costs were substantially less than they would have been with a gravity system. New: Electronic Bid Bond Submission Available To improve efficiency and reduce paperwork, the City of Port St. Lucie now accepts Electronic Bid Bonds (eBonds) through approved electronic surety platform - Surety2000. Contractors may choose to submit a hard‑copy Bid Bond or an eBond, provided all requirements in this solicitation are met. Please see Section 5.1 - Bonds and/or Letter of Credit, Permits.
