Warren County is soliciting bids for the purchase and delivery of up to two 8-foot by 10-foot communication shelters designed to house electronics for the county's radio system. The shelters are to be delivered to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office in Lake George, NY, with delivery costs included in the bid. The specifications emphasize high-quality, medium-duty enclosures that can be installed at ground level on concrete or crushed stone pads, with flexibility for various brands that meet or surpass the listed standards and warranties. The project is funded through the NYS Statewide Interoperable Communications Grant Program, which emphasizes diversity and inclusion goals, including a 15% MBE, 15% WBE, and 6% SDVOB participation, with preferences given to assembled units and vendors meeting these goals. Bids will be evaluated based on adherence to specifications, price, delivery timeline, warranties, and the ability to meet diversity goals, with the county reserving the right to reject any non-satisfactory proposals. The contract is awarded upon delivery, with a due date for submissions on May 23, 2024, and questions due by May 13, 2024. The procurement process encourages minority, women, and service-disabled veteran-owned business participation, although there is no set-aside for service-disabled veteran-owned businesses. The project involves counties across New York State, and interested vendors are advised to contact the designated procurement officer via email or phone for further details.
