Purchase, Delivery, and Installation of an Indoor Walk-In Freezer System

Murfreesboro City Schools is soliciting sealed bids for the turnkey purchase, delivery, installation, startup, testing, and commissioning of one indoor walk-in freezer system at the 910 Ridgley Road Warehouse. The project requires a complete system featuring an insulated enclosure, two redundant remote refrigeration systems capable of independently maintaining -10 degrees Fahrenheit when outdoor temperatures reach 95 degrees Fahrenheit, and NSF-compliant aluminum dunnage racks. The contractor is responsible for all project coordination, including field verification, rigging, electrical and mechanical connections, and the provision of closeout documentation such as O&M manuals and warranties. All equipment must be new, and the system must utilize R448A refrigerant and UL-approved condensing units. The contract will be awarded on an aggregate basis to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder based on the Total Base Bid. Bids must be submitted electronically via the OpenGov Procurement Portal by 12:00 p.m. Central Time on October 20, 2026, and will be opened publicly via Zoom later that day. Required submission documents include a bid form, price schedule, references for comparable projects, and several certifications, including Non-Collusion, Debarment and Suspension, Byrd Anti-Lobbying, Iran Divestment Act, and Conflict-of-Interest disclosures. Payment will be issued upon the delivery and acceptance of goods following successful startup testing and operational verification. Contractors must maintain commercial general liability, automobile liability, and state-required workers compensation insurance, naming the District as an additional insured.
