Full Description
The City of Fort Worth invites submittal Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from qualified firms interested in providing architectural design services in connection with the new Downtown Library located on 900 Block of Summitt Street in Fort Worth, Texas. The City of Fort Worth intends to construct an approximately 22,000 to 30,000 square foot library with planned expansion. The space should be inclusive of community rooms, storage and multipurpose spaces. The selected firm will provide services, including developing the program, creating architectural and engineering designs, audio visual and Security drawing coordination in collaboration with City Information Technology staff, estimating and compiling budgets and recommending furniture, furnishings and equipment. Demolition of three (3) existing structures, associated retaining wall, and existing parking areas is an integral part of the project scope. Demolition shall be coordinated with the Downtown Library design and incorporated into the project construction documents and CMAR documents. The Consultant shall coordinate demolition limits, site restoration, utility impacts, hazardous materials requirements, and sequence with the City. Green site improvements should be integrated with the Downtown Library design and coordinated with the overall site plan. Improvements shall support the project’s sustainability, landscape, stormwater, pedestrian circulation, and outdoor-use goals within the established project limits. The City intends to request competitive bids from qualified general contractors who will perform the construction according to the plans and specifications proposed by the qualified firm chosen pursuant to this SOQ. The construction budget is approximately $25,000,000.00.

The last day for questions from prospective Offerors is at 5:00 PM on Thursday, October 8, 2026. A final Addendum will be posted Monday October 12, 2026. Proposals will be received through Bonfire until 2:00 PM on Thursday, October 15, 2026, and will be opened and publicly read aloud approximately thirty minutes later.
