PWC Hocking Hills Winter Hike 2027 Busing

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources is soliciting bids for passenger busing services to support the Hocking Hills State Park Annual Winter Hike on January 16, 2027. The selected contractor must provide 12 buses, each with a 40-passenger capacity, to shuttle hikers between various park locations including the State Park Lodge and Conference Center, Old Man's Cave Visitor Center, the park campground, Hocking Hills Elementary School, Cedar Falls, and Ash Cave. The service schedule begins at 8:00 am and concludes by 6:00 pm, with a deployment requirement of 10 buses available at 8:00 am and the remaining 2 buses available by 9:30 am. The contractor is responsible for providing licensed drivers, fuel, and driver radios, while the park will provide one radio for communication with employees. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. Requirements for the contractor include maintaining commercial general liability and business automobile liability insurance with a minimum aggregate limit of 2,000,000 dollars, as well as providing their own workers compensation coverage. Bidders must comply with various state and federal regulations, including the Americans with Disabilities Act, Ohio ethics laws, and trade control laws. Invoices are to be submitted to Ohio Shared Services, with payments due on the 30th calendar day following the receipt of a proper invoice or acceptance of deliverables. All services must be performed within the United States in accordance with Executive Order 2019-12D.
