Q--NGS services to support clinical research

The National Institutes of Health, Office of the Director, Office of Acquisitions, is seeking to award a firm-fixed-price purchase order for Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) services to support clinical and research activities related to bone marrow failure syndromes, including aplastic anemia and related disorders, under a competitive combined synopsis/solicitation issued in accordance with FAR Subpart 12.6. The solicitation, numbered 75N98026Q00369, is reserved exclusively for small business concerns certified under NAICS code 621511 (Medical Laboratories), with a small business size standard of $41.5 million. The contract requires the contractor to perform NGS services at their own facility, processing 144 samples with a Hematology Profile Panel, delivering detailed reports for each sample within a typical turnaround time of 7 to 10 days. All reports containing patient-sensitive information must be securely accessible via password-protected web portals, and the contractor is responsible for supplying all specimen shipment materials, including shipping labels and transport systems, as well as providing logistical support for sample receipt and coordination. Performance will be evaluated based on technical capability—including gene panel coverage, sequencing accuracy, turnaround time, and data reporting—followed by past performance in similar genomic services, with price considered but secondary to the combined importance of technical excellence and proven track record. The period of performance runs from June 1, 2026, through May 31, 2027.
