Q -- NOTICE OF INTENT - Sole-Source: Health Devices System

Notice is as follows:The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Devens Federal Medical Center, located in Ayer, Massachusetts, intend to issua a firm-fixed price, sole source purchase to ECRI, Incorporated. This purchase had been determined non-competitive by the procuring Contracting Officer. The service required is as follows: One-year membership to include facility wide access to the Health Devices Web-site, Health Devices Alerts - to include Abstracts, Action Items, and Regulatory Data, and consutation services. This subscription service is required to so that our medical facility will be notified of equipment malfunctions, manufacture recalls of equipment, and incidents that occur in Healthcare Facilities that pertain to patient health and equipment mishaps. This is not a request for competitive quotations and is for information purposes only. However, should a firm desire to send information in regard to this notice, it will be considered by the Government. Information will be accepted, but only for the purpose of determining as to whether reconsideration should be given. Information will be accepted until February 9, 2004.
