In addition, the contract work may include removal and disposal of asbestos-containing building materials. Bidder is not permitted to perform any asbestos-related work unless bidder possesses a California State Contractor’s License and is certified pursuant to Section 7058.6 of the California State Business and Professions Code. If a certified subcontractor is used, the subcontractor’s license and certification number shall be submitted by the bidder within the Bid Submission Documents.
The project includes sound attenuation improvements for certain residences around San Diego International Airport. The project includes 24 dwelling units located on 12 historic and non- historic residential properties. Sound attenuation improvements may include, but are not limited to, replacement of windows and exterior doors, finely detailed, field-executed finish carpentry, and improvements to add air conditioning, ventilation and electrical work to support such systems. The work will include the demolition and modification of existing construction to install new windows and doors and, in some cases, may require temporary weatherproof closures.
