Full Description

Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWCCD) has been tasked by the Office of Naval Research to evaluate the proprietary heat treating technique developed by Swagelok called low temperature colossal super saturation (LTCSS). To accomplish that function samples must be prepared by Swagelok for the evaluation. In support of this effort, The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) intends to negotiate a non-competitive procurement with Swagelok Company, of Solon, OH. Under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1) Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responsible sources submitting proposals within 15 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within! the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Anticipated award date is on or around 03/17 /09.. All prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database, prior to award of a contract.
