SPAWARSYSCEN Charleston intends to issue a Request for Proposal for maintenance of the established Business Service Application (BSA) on a sole source basis to Product Data Integration Technologies, Inc. The application is written in Wang Cobol and runs on an Unix platform. Special programs are required to convert Wang Cobol to AcuCobol to allow the application to run on an Unix Platform. The BSA has to interface with other official Government applications including Defense Industrial Financial Management System (DIFMS), Defense Civilian Payroll System (DCPS). The Government anticipates award of an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity, Time and Material type contract to Product Data Integration Technologies, Inc. (PDIT), 100 W. Broadway, Long Beach, CA 90802. The proposed contract will be for a base year and four (4) one-year options. Performance on the proposed contract requires a contractor with specific and detailed knowledge of Wang Cobol, AcuCobol, BSA, DIFMS, DCPDS and DCPS and also an understanding and knowledge of the existing BSA configuration. PDIT has maintained the BSA and developed the programs that allow BSA to interface with other official government applications including DIFMS, DCPDS and DCPS.
