The Air Force District of Washington Acquisition Division plans to award a sole source Time and Materials contract to Automated Vehicle Systems International, LLC (AUVSINT), a small business, for the supply of Unmanned Ground Target (UGT), Unmanned Aerial Target (UAT), and Unmanned Surface Target (UST) vehicles to support the Headquarters, United States Air Force, Deputy Director for Counterproliferation. This contract aims to provide realistic simulation of high-speed moving targets across air, land, and sea domains to enhance operational training and capabilities. The government intends to procure 150 UGT units, 15 UAT units, and 15 UST units, with each vehicle meeting specific operational criteria such as remote control capabilities, autonomous functions, emergency shutdown systems, and suitability for conditions similar to operational theaters. The contract will include operator training—the UGT and UST units come with four hours of training per vehicle while the UATs come with a training parts kit and ground control station. Ground control stations for UGT and UST are sold separately. The UATs are fully autonomous with precision takeoff, hover, and landing capabilities, as well as compatibility with designated remote video receivers. AUVSINT is uniquely positioned to fulfill this requirement with established resources, justifying the sole source award without competition. The anticipated award date is mid-March 2007, and funding is subject to fiscal year 2007 availability. The contract is set under NAICS code 332710 and restricted to small business concerns with a size standard of 500 employees.
