AI Contract Overview

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers plans to award a sole source contract to GEI, Inc. for the completion of remaining work under an existing task order related to the Dam Safety Program Management Tools (DSPMT). This follows an administrative oversight where the option to extend the underlying IDIQ contract was not exercised timely, although the task order remains within the scope, value, and performance period originally intended. The contract involves continuing development on the Dam Safety Web Portal (iDAMS) Version 3.2, including enhancements and new modules such as a notification system integrated with the emergency contact database. The DSPMT consists of interactive software applications that support the Corps Dam Safety Community of Practice by providing centralized, web-based management tools hosted at the North Atlantic Division, with a backend running on Oracle Database 11g Release 2. This notice serves as a market research effort to determine if other qualified sources can meet the contract requirements, but it is not a solicitation for competitive proposals. The Government encourages responses from any responsible sources within ten days to help assess whether a competitive procurement might be warranted, although it retains full discretion not to pursue competition. The contract supports the important mission of the Corps Dam Safety Program and addresses an administrative correction to ensure transparency and proper contract management. Interested parties may submit inquiries to the designated Corps contact to be considered for this effort.
