This contract action was accomplished using other than competitive procedures because there is only one responsible source due to a unique capability provided, and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements (FAR 6.302-1). This special notice is issued to communicate to industry that the The US Army Contracting Agency, Contracting Center of Excellence on behalf of the Secretary of the Air Force, Administrative Assistant Facilities Support Directorate, will award a sole source contract to Site Management Services, Inc. 2200 Wilson Blvd., Suite 102/PMB 234, Arlington, VA 22201 on or about September 30, 2009 for furniture support to the SAF/AAF. The period of performance will be for 2 months, October 1, 2009 through 30 November 2009. The authority cited for this sole source award is 10 USC 2304(C) (1) or 41 USC 253(C) (1); FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement. Services can only be provided from the original source as this is a follow-on requirement for the continued provision of highly specialized services. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the Army Contracting Agency.
