The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is conducting a Direct Conversion with Cost Comparison Study to evaluate Clerical and Administrative Assistance Services in Montana, which are currently performed by Government employees. This process is not a solicitation or request for proposal, nor does it commit the Government to award a contract. The primary objective is to determine if contracting out these services would be more cost-effective than continuing in-house performance. Interested parties are invited to express their interest by April 4, 2003, via email or fax to the designated contact, Marsha K. Harris, including specific business information such as size, ownership status, and certifications related to small or disadvantaged business categories. This announcement references the NAICS code 561110 but does not currently include a formal solicitation. Potential offerors who responded to an earlier Sources Sought Announcement need not respond again. The government emphasizes that telephone inquiries regarding this announcement will not be accepted. Detailed information about businesses, including classification as small or specialized business types (such as veteran-owned, Women-owned, Hubzone, or 8(a) certified firms), is requested to assist in evaluating the market. The official solicitation is expected to be released around April 21, 2003, and will be made available on the Federal Business Opportunities website at that time.
