The Tobyhanna Army Depot (TYAD) is seeking to establish an organic depot-level capability for testing and recalibrating the Position Attitude Determination Subsystem (PADS), which is a component used in the U.S. Army’s Improved Target Acquisition System (ITAS) and the USMC Saber System. This effort involves modifying a test facility already under development for the AN/TAS-8 Long Range Advanced Scout Surveillance System (LRAS3) at TYAD to also support PADS. The Government intends to gather market research information through this Request for Information (RFI) to identify contractors with the expertise, capabilities, and experience necessary to design and provide drawing packages, test cables, testing procedures, and calibration software—including its modification, validation onsite, and updated instructions—to support PADS calibration and testing. This RFI is solely for informational and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation or guarantee any contract award. Respondents are required to provide detailed business information and demonstrate their relevant experience, including contract history, timelines for achieving operational readiness within a 12-month period, risk assessments, and any data or document needs. The Government may request follow-up one-on-one discussions or a capability briefing as needed. Responses must be submitted by a specified deadline, and proprietary information will be handled confidentially if properly marked. This effort falls under NAICS code 541330, and the Government emphasizes that participation does not ensure future solicitation involvement or reimbursement for related expenses.
