NAVSUP Fleet Logistic Center San Diego intends to issue a sole source purchase order in accordance with FAR Part 12 and Part 13 to SAFE Boats International, 8800 Barney White Road, Bremerton, WA 98312. The proposed contract action is for Riverine Command Boat training services for Coastal Riverine Group One. Riverine Delta Company RCB was constructed by SAFE Boat and factory training can only be obtained through SAFE Boat International. SAFE Boats is the sole source for certification of SAFE Boat vessels and SAFE Boats instructors are the only certified instructors in original manufacturer equipment factory training. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation document is available.
