R--Special Notice - IEEs in Specific Industries

The Bureau of Indian Affairs, under the Department of the Interior, has issued a special notice for market research to identify qualified Indian Economic Enterprises and Indian Small Business Economic Enterprises. The primary objective is to determine if future procurement needs can be met under the Buy Indian Act. This is not a formal solicitation, and there is currently no active contract or established budget; instead, the agency is seeking capability statements to identify firms capable of operating in remote or geographically challenging locations. Targeted industry sectors include Engineering Services, Educational Support Services, Trust and Fiduciary Activities, Food Service Contractors, and Miscellaneous Food Manufacturing. Interested entities must submit their capability statements to biaq@bia.gov, including their company name, SAM.gov Unique Entity Identifier, confirmation of IEE or ISBEE status, relevant NAICS codes, core competencies, and demonstrated industry experience. While the response deadline is listed as September 30, 2026, the agency is reviewing submissions on a rolling basis and encourages vendors to provide their information as soon as possible.
